Under the title Christmas in Latin America, Dante Andreo has gathered an initial collection of seven traditional songs that are very melodic and easy to perform.
Each of them represents the perfect cultural syncretism that characterizes the Latin American people. Their melodies, scales, tonal shifts, and rhythmic patterns reflect the extraordinary mosaic of the three cultures coexisting in Latin America: Indigenous, European, and African.
They are easy to perform, except perhaps the last two due to the frequent use of divisi. Their texts, based on Christmas themes, are ingeniously repeated and transformed, creating an effect of extraordinary tenderness and simplicity.
