Tximeletak “Butterflies”. Composed for choir of white voices and piano. The text is a poem by Bernardo Atxaga (possibly the best known Basque writer) entitled “Tximeleta reggae”.
Divided into two perfectly differentiated parts, the first evokes the uneven flight of butterflies through the interval design developed by the piano and the 8/8 rhythm distributed in 3, 3 and 2 eighth notes. The second part, slower and melancholy, places the piano in the background, as mere harmonic support. The work ends with the embellished repetition of the first part.
