Description
Set to the rhythm of Guajira, of Cuban origin, “Ave Iesu” is a work full of rhythm and joy. The text, a psalm for Advent collected by Father Donostia, refers to the greatness and glory of God, comparing it to the humble and simple beginnings of Jesus’ birth in a modest manger.
The rich piano accompaniment is complemented by the simple melodic lines of two horns and the characteristic alternation of time signatures.
