Joxemari Iturralde graduated from the University of Navarre in Pamplona with a degree in Romance Languages in 1973. He is Professor of Basque Language and Literature at the “Orixe” Institute in Tolosa.

In 1977, he founded the literary group “POTT” in Bilbao with Bernardo Atxaga, Manu Ertzila, Jon Juaristi, Ruper Ordorika and Joseba Sarrionandia.

He has published novels, short stories, childrens’ books, musical texts…
